Good vs Evil: Who Is To Blame?

The theme of good versus evil has been and continues to be one of the most popular themes in entertainment, particularly television and film. But it is not just the entertainment industry that uses the principles of good and evil to their advantage. The American government heavily used this premise in the media to gain support for the ‘War on Terrorism’. While labelling the terrorists (the Taliban and al-Qaeda) as evil, the American soldier was perceived to be a hero, someone on the good side. Previous wars cannot be excluded from this presumption. WWII and the Vietnam War are two examples of where the side of evil has been clearly defined (Hitler and Communism).
